Jambo!

Hello everyone! I've safely arrived in Nairobi, Kenya and I'm enjoying myself very much.

Got in late last night, weather still around 20 degrees. I'm sharing a room with an English girl called Louise and an Australian girl called Kristin. We think Louise will be going on the same tour as me as far as Livingstone, but Kristin is using another tour company. Was originally only sharing with Louise, but to cut a long story short, the hotel overbooked and we offered to let Kristin stay in our room.

Met up with Joyce's friend Louise today, and we went to the elephant orphanage & the giraffe park. The elephants were gorgeous, all very young, including one that I think was only about nine months old and was wearing a blanket to protect him from the sun. At the giraffe park, I got to fed some of them, and hug one :) Eventually I will have pictures from this, but it could take a few weeks lol!

Weather's very hot at the moment, so we're hiding out in the room until our pre-departure meeting this evening.

OMG! Soo surreal, I can't believe you're actually there! Sounds like you're having tons of fun :D Keep us updated, I'll be waiting for the nest entry *hugs*

You're telling me it's surreal?!?! I can't believe I'm actually here, though it really started to sink in a couple of days ago.

Glad to hear you have arrived and are enjoying Kenya.

It will prove to be all that I said it was.

By the Ulster are playing Borders at the minute.

The match has just finished Borders 0 Ulster 27

Totally dominated the match but only 3 tries. Mark Blair tried to start a little discussion with Justin Harrison... I need say no more.

Borders are supposed to be the best defensive side in the league.

Kenya's brilliant, all the locals are really nice.

Mark Blair and Justin Harrison? That I would've liked to have seen!! Can't believe I'm missing the Treviso match! Keep me updated :)

That sounds absolutely wonderful. I've always wanted to go to Kenya so I'm very jealous (although if you tell me tjhere are big spiders there, then that jealousy will end).

I tried to ring you before you left but you were engaged. Got the Xmas pressie and photo-thank you so much hon! I won't open it until then, I promise.

I didn't see any big spiders while I was there, so it was good :) A few little bugs, but nothing major :)

Glad to hear you got your prezzie, just a silly little thing to put under your tree ;)

Baby animals are just adorable, especially baby zebra, I just want to cuddle them! The lionesses were pretty cute too ;)
